I 140 and 485 filed concurrently.
Let's say I 140 is approved after 200 (greater than 180) days, If employer revokes I 140 after 230 days (let's say he is pissed off that i left the company using Ac 21 portability)
will it create any issue for my GC ?

Yes forwarded the copy to the lawyer this morning.I have an appointment with lawyer Friday morning regarding this..So for lawyer office didn't received anything from uscis.
Here is my backround
1)Worked for Company A from 2003 to 2008.
2)Company A applied I-140 and approved April 2006. AOS 485 filed on July 2007. Got EAD but never used it
3)September 2008 I have Joined employer “B” by transferring H1B (Valid until Aug 21st 2010).
4)Employer A revoked 140 which triggered 485 denials in October 2008.
5)Applied MTR and it was approved in NOVEMBER 2008 and 485 re-opened.
This is the only major concern I have.Though I have approved MTR and 485 re-opened, but my online status of 485 still showing denied.
My AP approved last month.......my wife EAD,AP approved last month.I am the primary..strange
I know I have moderate control over this situation.Just having good faith & hope.This whole thing H1-B,DL,GC,EAD,AP & visa stamping ..etc what a pain for some people.Very sad.For uscis error(485 denial wrongly) I am not only lost money( closee to 5k) also lost "n" no of days of sleep back in 2008 and now :mad:

Hi,
My in-laws came to US last Firday along with my kid who is a US citizen.
Their passport has a stamp that says Admitted on Apr 17 at Chicago, Class B2 and "Until" is blank. There should be a date that tells they can stay until this date.
What are my options now. Do i need to let it go or contact some one and bring it to their notice etc..
Any help is appreciated
Are you saying the I-94 does not have the date written in the "until" column or is it only on the passport? Usually, on the passport, the CBP officer just stamps it as "Admitted" and NOT write the date of departure except in cases of Parole stamps - all my entry stamps on my passport do not have dates written on them when I entered using H1B.

The Employer won`t be touching the I-140 or any other related GC apps.About the time frame for getting same or similar job...I am seriously keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

upgraded on June25 to PP got status changed on 30th. Received approval notice by attorney on July 6th

I'm in it for the long haul, and Fm certain that, in the end, we will prevail. Ignoring the problem will not solve it. We cannot afford to do nothing, especially in this post-9/11 era. Yes you can file more than one AOS simultaneously and withdraw other one once I485 is approved.

Your parents do not need A/V letter. They can supplement last 3 months of statements. If you still want to give a try. You can ask bank manager to send a letter with current amount on your A/C to the address mentioned on your A/C. which means, they are sending the information to the addressee on the A/C.
If I were you, I would wait until your job is done. Then, close the A/C with a reason specified "Not happy with service".
It will be helpful if you can mention the bank name on this forum for all our immigrant community.

Get your degree evaluated by WES http://www.wes.org. or http://www.trustfortecorp.com/cou_evaluations.html
They will do a course by course evaluation and will let you know if your degree is equivalent to 4 year US degree. I am not sure if they will evaluate aptech one but try it out. Keep this copy with you and incase you get a RFE, answer it with this report. There is high chances that it will be approved.
I am surprised how your attorney did not do this before submitting the application.

Actually, IMO, stocks is a loosers game. Many have tried it and have lost a "lot" of money(including myself). If you would like to make money through investments(i didn't say *stocks*), you should go with something like mutual funds and have a well diversified portfolio across different asset classes.
If you really want to get yourself into stock market investing, the best book(Holy Grail for people like Warren Buffet and many other Mutual Fund managers) to get started on is is The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. There are tons of discussion forums like morningstar.com that has discussions about finance related topics. You could also get started with Mutual Funds for Dummies, Common Sense book on Investing by John Bogle, The Intelligent Asset Allocator by Bill Bernstein etc., There are tons of other ones, but this would get you started.
But, my 2 cents, have a long term goal, educate yourself on what investing(again, I didn't say stocks) is and get started. Investing is a marathon not a sprint.

Received REF this week: for LCA vioation for a particular period.
I ve approved labor, 140 and EAD, still working on valid H1 with the same employer since 2003.
My employer missed filling LCA FOR 2006.
