Labor Substition was a devil which has created most of this problem as I can see there are hardly 15-20% original beneficiaries for these 2002-2003 Labors.
Employers made Labor Sub a Devil by misusing it. It has been provided to employers as a valid advantage from employer perspective.
Infact GC has become a retention perk for the employer and from the employer perspective all they need is unlimited H-1B permits. All this added to the fuel that GC has become a perk to the employee because they suck up 6 years of H-1B servitude and not a Employer benefit anymore.
I think the Govt and USCIS start to think now that
H-1B is employer benefit
GC is employee benefit
and they are slowly moving to make changes in the current law.

I got my I485 receipt notice today. Our applications are delivered on July 2nd.

BOTTOM LINE:
If one receives the card than don't worry about ADIT processing.
Those who are seeing the 'Welcome Notice malied' status have ADIT mentioned in the Case Status online. There is NOTHING to be done at your end except waiting for the cards once your case is approved. USCIS will NOT approve a case unless the FP is complete - refer to the 485 adjudicator field manual.
Just like their legacy IT systems, USCIS standard email messages are also in the same league and have not been updated. Wait for the cards and contact USCIS only if you dont receive them in a reasonable amount of time - read two weeks from case approval date.

What has been your contribution so far (not just monetary but otherwise?). Why don't you lead an effort and be the one which shows some leadership so that we all EB3's can follow you?
I guess you have an EAD and AP but instead of going into the details of what role IV played to get us to that stage you can just spit BS over here.

In my opinion, we need to have separate efforts for EB3 (now that EB3 I and EB3 ROW are in the same boat). If we have someone with leadership qualities and wants to use some social networking site for discussing EB3 issues and identifying approaches to solve the EB3 issues, there will be many EB3 folks willing to support the effort. Immivoice is just useless portal, it doesn't have open forums and the core folks here don't care for EB3. In fact, their lobbying efforts were behind USCIS changing the rule for spilling over the unused visa numbers to EB2 first. Just my 2 cents.

My AP's receipt date at TSC was 6/30. It was approved on 7/13 and I have received APs from attorney last week. BTW, my EAD/APs were sent to NSC on 6/15 but only AP was forwrded to TSC and I got receipt date as 6/30 from TSC. So it took 4 weeks including forward time from NSC to TSC

Nma check is history now. After filed I-485, and 180 days passed, name check is not a factor for GC. If your NC is pending, still they issue you a GC.

When you go for visa revalidation at US consulates outside and by bad luck, you have a hit on your name, there will be a security clearance issued on you. From what I am hearing now, it is taking upto 8 months. Will you retain your job?
I am guessing that the dems will relax this a bit or atleast listen to the problems faced by visa aspirants, if someone approaches them in the future. For them, the world does not only revolve around terror. There is life outside it!
Also, the constant feed from media about terror is sickening me. Can I have peace of mind when I travel or watch tv?
Irrespective of who wins the elections, we have our work defined. Pass SKIL bill, provide retrogression relief etc.

I think your idea is good. But this could be very difficult to implement, at least for USCIS.
Another suggestion is that porting should be automatic. As soon as a person acquires the required qualification for EB2 + a letter from the company that the person's future job will be of EB2 caliber, UCSIS should put him/her in EB2 category. This is some thing we should work on.

I haven't received receipts yet...I filled G-28...my attorney did not receive my receipts...I don't know what is going on...

Since these funds are to be directed towards reimbursing the administrative costs of the core team , we are not going to be adding it to the IV funds. We are working on a strategy to get this amount across to the IV core team members. We will instruct you on how to make the payment, once we formulate a strategy"
As for the target amount, i think the least minimum would be the $64K , which Aman spent already. Soon we will get a collective amount of what has been spent by all the core IV team members and then set the final target amount. What do you think ?
